Imodium Original capsules contain loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg. They slow down the gut to relieve short-term (acute) diarrhoea.
Directions for use:
Adults and children 12 years and over: take 2 capsules to start, then 1 capsule after each loose stool. Do not take more than 6 capsules in 24 hours. Drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost. Stop and see a doctor if diarrhoea lasts more than 48 hours, or if you have blood in your stool or a high fever. Not for children under 12.
