Bactigras is a sterile paraffin gauze (tulle gras) dressing impregnated with chlorhexidine acetate 0.5%, an antiseptic. It is non-adherent and used on minor burns, scalds, skin grafts, lacerations and abrasions.
Directions for use:
Clean the wound. Remove the protective backing and apply the dressing directly onto the wound, then cover with a secondary absorbent dressing and secure in place. Change according to the amount of wound fluid, or as advised by a health worker. Single use. Do not use if you are allergic to chlorhexidine.
